Plunge Craft is a static website. We do not run a backend database. We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email, address, or phone number unless you voluntarily email us. We do display third-party advertising and use affiliate links, both of which may set cookies — those are governed by the respective third-party privacy policies linked below.

2.1 Information you provide directly

If you email us at theowner4747@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write to us. We use this solely to respond to your message and do not store it in any marketing list.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit Plunge Craft, our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) and our analytics provider (if any) may log standard request data: IP address (truncated for privacy), user agent, referring URL, pages visited, and time of visit. This data is aggregated and used only to understand site traffic patterns.

2.3 Information collected by third parties

Plunge Craft displays ads (Google AdSense or Mediavine, depending on traffic tier) and uses Amazon Associates affiliate links. These third parties may set cookies or use device fingerprinting to serve and measure ads, attribute affiliate commissions, and personalize content. See:

3. Cookies

Plunge Craft itself sets only one cookie: a localStorage entry (plungecraft-theme) that remembers your light/dark mode preference. This is stored locally in your browser and never transmitted to our servers.

Third-party cookies may be set by our advertising partners (Google, Mediavine) and by Amazon when you click an affiliate link. You can control cookies through your browser settings; most modern browsers allow you to block third-party cookies entirely.

4. How we use information

We use aggregated, anonymized traffic data to:

  • Understand which articles are most-read and prioritize updates accordingly
  • Identify broken links or technical issues
  • Detect and defend against abuse, scraping, or DDoS attacks
  • Measure the overall growth of the site
