Editorial Policy

1. Our mission

Plunge Craft exists to help people build commercial-grade thermal therapy systems at home, for a fraction of the cost of pre-built units. Every editorial decision is made in service of that mission. If a piece of content does not help a reader build, maintain, or use a cold plunge, sauna, or contrast therapy setup more effectively, it does not belong on this site.

2. Product selection criteria

Every product we link to must pass our 4-gate filter:

Products that fail any gate are not linked. We do not make exceptions for higher commission rates.

3. Content creation standards

3.1 Originality

All content on Plunge Craft is originally written. We do not publish AI-generated listicles, spun content, or scraped rewrites. Every guide is built around real research and real product evaluation.

3.2 Depth

Pillar articles are 2,000–3,000 words. Comparison and guide pages are 1,200–2,000 words. FAQ pages are 600–1,200 words. We do not pad word count — every paragraph must add information the reader did not have before.

3.3 Sources

When we make a factual claim with a specific scientific basis, we cite the source inline. We distinguish between established research, emerging research, and anecdotal observation. We never present opinion as fact.

3.4 No sponsored content

We do not accept paid placements. We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews. We do not allow advertisers to influence editorial content.

4. Content review and updates

Every article on Plunge Craft is reviewed on the following schedule:

• Quarterly review: All affiliate links are checked for product availability and current pricing. Discontinued products are replaced or removed.
• Annual review: Every pillar article is re-read and updated to reflect new research, new products, and reader feedback.
• Ad hoc updates: When a reader reports a factual error or broken link (via our contact page), we investigate and fix within 24 hours of confirmation.

Each article displays a "Last updated" date in the byline. We never backdate content to make it appear fresher than it is.

5. Author expertise

Plunge Craft content is written by a small editorial team with backgrounds in mechanical engineering, sports recovery, and consumer hardware testing. We are not medical professionals. None of our content should be construed as medical advice. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider before beginning any cold exposure protocol, especially if you have cardiovascular conditions, hypertension, are pregnant, or are taking medication that affects circulation.

6. Affiliate relationship disclosure

7. Reader feedback

We actively solicit feedback. If you disagree with a recommendation, find a factual error, or have a build experience that contradicts our guidance, we want to hear from you. Email theowner4747@gmail.com. We will investigate, respond, and update content if warranted.

8. Corrections policy

When we make a factual error, we correct it promptly and transparently. Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article with the date and nature of the correction. We do not silently rewrite history.

9. Conflicts of interest

Plunge Craft has no ownership interest in any of the products we recommend. We do not accept equity, warrants, or other compensation from manufacturers. We do not consult for, advise, or sit on the boards of any cold plunge, sauna, or recovery gear companies.

10. Use of AI tools

Plunge Craft uses AI tools (large language models) as part of the writing workflow — primarily for research summarization, draft outlining, and copy editing. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human editor before publication. We do not publish raw AI output. We do not use AI to generate fake reviews, fake testimonials, or fake product ratings.
